Mercedes-Benz S-Class driving pleasure

"Outstanding agility and driving pleasure" awaits drivers who purchase a vehicle from the 2009 Mercedes-Benz S-Class range, it has been revealed. Reason for benefits is new and improved systems added to the vehicles.
These include the Direct-Steer system, which improves a driver’s steering precision. Reduce the number of turns needed of a steering wheel by 25 per cent, which could be especially beneficial for a motorist driving in inner-city areas.

Meanwhile, the steering is also supported through a new addition to
the 2009 S-Class – the Torque Vectoring Brake.

This is a one-sided braking intervention that affects the inside rear wheel when a motorist is taking a corner, enabling a vehicle to maintain full control through a corner without the risk of a loss of handling dynamics.

Other technical highlights of the vehicle range that come as standard include adaptive front airbags that deploy in two stages and NECK-PRO head restraints.
